VIP Trading (ABN 49 669 377 182, Motor Dealer Licence MD100449) respects your privacy. This policy explains how we handle personal information collected through this website and our dealings with you.
Information we collect
We may collect your name, email address, telephone number, enquiry messages and vehicle interests. For vehicle-sourcing or seller enquiries, this may also include specifications, budget, registration, VIN, odometer, ownership or finance information, asking price, service and history information, and photographs you submit.
To protect our forms from misuse, we record submission times and may retain a one-way security fingerprint derived from technical request information and your email address. We do not store the raw IP address in the enquiry record.
How we collect and use information
We usually collect information directly from you through forms, email, telephone and other dealings. We use it to respond to enquiries, assess vehicles, prepare or fulfil sourcing requests, manage customer relationships, secure the website, maintain appropriate business records, and meet legal obligations. We do not use information for unrelated direct marketing without permission or another lawful basis.
Disclosure and service providers
We may disclose information to authorised personnel and contractors, website hosting, storage, security and email-delivery providers, professional advisers, and regulators or law-enforcement bodies where required or authorised by law. We do not sell personal information.
Some service providers may process information outside Australia, including in the United States. We take reasonable steps appropriate to the circumstances when engaging providers. Contact us if you would like current information about likely overseas processing locations.
Security and retention
We use access controls and technical and organisational safeguards appropriate to the information held. No internet transmission or storage system is completely secure. We retain information only for as long as reasonably required for the purpose for which it was collected, normal business administration, security, dispute resolution or applicable legal requirements, then take reasonable steps to delete or de-identify it.
Access, correction and complaints
You may ask to access or correct personal information we hold about you, or make a privacy complaint, by emailing info@viptrading.com.au. We may need to verify your identity and aim to respond within 30 days. If the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) applies and you remain dissatisfied after contacting us, you may contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.
Changes
We may update this policy when our practices or legal obligations change. The current version and its last-updated date will appear on this page.
